6th Annual Round Island Regatta
Take part in Portsmouth’s maritime tradition at the sixth annual Round Island Regatta on Saturday, July 30th! For six years, competitors racing in sailboats, kayaks, and paddleboards have set off from Peirce Island, where spectators are welcome to watch and listen to commentary during the race. Following the competition, there is a post-race picnic and award ceremony at the Wentworth Lear Houses. All proceeds will help support the Gundalow Company’s award-winning programs to protect the Piscataqua region’s maritime heritage and environment. Alexandra de Steigeur: Winter Life on a Small Island
Alexandra de Steigeur has been the caretaker of the Isles of Shoals for nineteen winters, and in her multimedia presentation which includes readings, slides, and music, she reflects on her experiences and stories of her time in solitude in an engaging and inspiring account of life on a small island. 2nd Annual New England Country Music Fest w/ Morgan Myles
Calling all country music fans! The second annual New England Country Music Festival is Sunday, August 7th, at Redhook Brewery. Music newcomer and powerful vocalist Morgan Myles will be performing alongside crowd favorites The Cadillac Three, Love and Theft, Barret Baber, and several other artists.
